What to Blame: Is it users of SEO apps or is it Google?
I confess. Prior to finding out about SEO software and site promotion trade, I thought Google was great. I Used Google to look for everything from human beings, to visuals, to news to weird objects and unquestionably trusted the search outcomes. Then I heard about SEO products and a whole industry focused on website marketing, and my convictions were never the same. But even before my revelation, having done some introspective musings, I got an inkling that search engines, Google included, know far from everything, and share with the web community even less than that.
My search escapades soon convinced me that Flikr is a better image search source, that with the assistance of feeds I can have nice current events stories without the need to rummage through Google SERPs (rummaging is more fitting than Google search), and people search is best administered by Facebook. It seems like when I search for odd objects on Google, the results are almost always messy, to put it kindly. Try Googling for SEO applications and other SEO related subjects on Google and you are just about prepared to give up your sanity. I mean, come on, what’s the connection between SEO tools and employment webpages or online casinos? Turns out in my distress.
So when news of link building software and the whole field built around it invaded my modest worldview, my suspicions about websites surfacing out on page one of Google grew manifold. Do they merit to be there and whose fault is it, Google or site promoters using SEO products. The moral dilemma is vast. Do I quit using my SEO google ranking or do I seize using Google instead? I concluded that I can’t quit Google just yet. At least not till the worthy rival enters the picture. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will continue using my SEO products.
Truth is that SEO tools is the reason why folks like me get discovered on the web. smart as they are, Google robots are unlikely to find some little guy and index his webpage highly. In this regard, I remain an unyielding admirer of SEO tools and non-paid search. If it was all about the cash, the Fortune businesses would destroy me before I knew it. And there are up to one thousand businesses on the Fortune roll! But here is another thing that annoys me and other backlinks checker users, I am confident. There are individuals who purchase SEO tools and use them to sell dresseson casino sites and the like. What we are given is junk that not only exists on the Internet but is also well valued by Google.
What is the user reaction to this? People search for SEO product reviews and will instead find junk SERPs. They get disillusioned. So much for the “Internet equality”. Does this mean that SEO program and service industry is bad? Probably not.
The abusers of SEO programs have to stop bastardizing the Internet but it’s like asking hackers to stop hacking. The bad side about it is that black hat SEOs are overusing the chance to be seen on the Web that is offered to the random guy like myself. For now people just have to live with them. We can only wish that Google will put more effort into spotting the schemers abusing SEO programs, and if Google doesn’t, the big search engine will.
